About Reliance Insurance

Reliance Insurance Company Limited (RICL) was established in 1981 with an initial share capital of Rs. 2.5 million, by two prestigious houses namely Al-Noor Group and Amin Bawany Group. Al-Noor Group was led by the late Mr. Ismail H. Zakaria, while Amin Bawany Group was founded by late Mr. Mohammed Amin Ahmed Bawany. Both groups are renowned for their successful execution of a multitude of industrial and commercial projects.
Mr. Ismail H. Zakaria was appointed as the founding Chairman of RICL in 1982. He occupied this position for 38 years exhibiting exemplary leadership, drawing on his extensive experience. Following Mr. Zakaria’s passing away on May 26, 2020, the Board of Directors unanimously appointed Mr. Irfan Zakaria Bawany as Chairman, ensuring the continuity of dynamic, visionary leadership and robust governance.
